CATHODIC PROTECTION
EESB offers cathodic protection designs with a variety of anode types for various ICCP solutions to NACE SP0169-2013, SP0286 and applicable client standards. Design considerations and careful planning are carried out at the initial design and pre-construction phase of projects. Services provided include turnkey and one stop solution for design, specifications, installation, test and commission of shallow bed and deepwell anode groundbeds.
EESB designs, install, test and commission galvanic anode systems on buried metallic structures to protect metal structures from corroding.
EESB provides services to carry out soil resistivity test to determine the actual value for the in-situ soil condition for soil corrosivity. These values are often used in design to determine the placing of anode where it is expected to perform best when placed in the lower resistance soil.
The pre-construction site corrosion survey for new facilities is a valuable service for architects and engineers. By conducting the survey during the planning phase of your project, the report can be used as a guide to avoid built-in corrosion problems and to specify mitigation procedures. Application of corrosion control measures will result in savings for the owner through lower operating, maintenance and repair costs.
Cathodic protection requires periodic testing and maintenance to ensure proper operations to achieve optimum protection. Changing conditions require adjustments, and accurate records on the CP performances are regulatory compliance to many asset owners and authorities.

EESB provides testing and maintenance programs for cathodic protection systems. Each program is tailored to be economical and effective. We plan and conduct long term maintenance programs to just inspect individual installations.
EESB investigates ICCP and SCP systems assessing their current condition and the operability of the systems and carries out subsequent repairs to the systems, from repairs to the transformer rectifiers, the internal workings of the TRs, the power supplies, laying of new power supply cables, CP test leads to total refurbish of the current system.
CP Evaluations are necessary where corrosion has become a safety problem. We provide field consultation for corrosion testing and analysis, cathodic protection, stray current electrolysis and other conditions as part of structural integrity management.
